Jakarta View were formed on January 21st, 2010.
The band were formed by:
- Rangga Nugraha (guitar, vocal)
- Fico Loygara (guitar, back vocal)

Previously, they weren't in the same band. Until at some point, they decided to make a different concept of music from the music they brought before. Jakarta View's type of music is a little difficult to explain and describe. Generally, Jakarta View combined pop with the elements of rock and roll in their songs.the name (Jakarta View) itself was taken because it's an unique name and some songs of Jakarta View revealed several events that often happen in Jakarta.
On November 2010, Satria Gumilang joined us, as Jakarta View’s four strings player. Then a month later, on December 2010, Reagan Kadafi finally listed as Jakarta View’s drummer.
